Eliya has never had the chance to attend school because he was born deaf. His parents report that he had a very low birth rate and a strange cry. Currently he is prone to aggressive behavior and temper tantrums. It’s likely due to his frustrations with not being able to communicate his needs.
Eliya’s father works with a local construction company when there is work to be done. When there is not work they subsist on their small plot of land for food and a meager income.
Sponsoring Eliya will give him the opportunity to finally learn sign language and express himself to the world. He will be enrolled in the newly established Kakayuni School for the Deaf.
