Furaha Khindi is a seven-year-old boy suffering from hearing loss since birth. Furaha was raised in a mud hut with a grass roof with six other siblings. Both parents work as peasant farmers. Furaha currently understands Giriama and is learning English and sign language. Furaha enjoys playing with toys and making new friends. Due to his large family and low income status, however, Furaha’s family struggled with meeting his basic needs. In sponsoring Furaha, you will be providing him with the special education necessary to allow him to grow to his fullest potential.
