Salama Kazungu is a young Christian girl born with a severe hearing loss, partially due to her very low birth weight. She was raised in a mud hut with a tin roof where both of her parents worked as peasant farmers. At the moment, Salama is in the process of learning sign language and English. She enjoys playing with toys with her friends. However, Salama is in great need of sponsorship for her education, board, toiletries, and uniform. If supported, Salama will be given the special tools she needs to be able to communicate and contribute to her society.
