Omar Salim is a fourteen-year-old Muslim boy born with a severe case of Cerebral Palsy. Omar currently understands Swahili and is in the process of learning English. Omar enjoys playing with toys, watching TV, and making new friends. Omar is unable to play sports because of his disability; however, Omar enjoys listening to stories and conversations about sports. Omar has spent most of his life in a mud hut with a tin roof where his father works as a businessman and his mother works as a housewife. Currently, Omar’s needs include school and boarding fees, which will provide Omar with physical therapy, as well as special education.
